13 Rosas Residencial (Housing Cooperative)

13 Rosas Residencial is a housing cooperative located in the Santa Marta district of Santiago de Compostela. Designed by Carbajo Barrios Arquitectos (Manuel Carbajo and Celso Barrios) and completed in 2018, the project organizes 65 dwellings around a large central courtyard. It stands out for its restrained volume, a regular window grid accentuated with granite panels, and carefully planned communal areas: community room, solarium, children’s play area, and swimming pool.

The building was awarded Best Residential Project by the Galician Architecture Awards (COAG) in 2019, and was a finalist in the 15th Spanish Biennial of Architecture and Urbanism. It is noted for its refined use of materials, clear composition, and a commitment to socially driven cooperative housing.
