A Estrada Health Centre

The new A Estrada Health Centre, located on Avenida Benito Vigo, stands out for its contemporary architecture, with clean lines, horizontal volumes and large glazed surfaces that give the building a modern, light-filled appearance.

The project was designed by Vázquez Muíño and Naos Arquitectura, while construction was carried out by the Puentes-Ogmios joint venture. Construction was completed in 2020.

One of the building’s most distinctive features is its U-shaped layout, which creates an entrance plaza around which much of the complex is organised. This design not only addresses functional needs but also creates a more open and welcoming entrance, connecting the architecture with its surroundings.

The photographs were taken during the golden hour, making the most of the warm sunlight on the façades, the reflections in the glass and the shadows cast across the building’s volumes. These conditions help bring out the building’s geometry, its different planes and the contrast between materials.
